Named for the Latin word for butterfly, Pentax 8.5x21 Papilio with Case Binoculars are the perfect choice for insect observation in the field and in museums and galleries. The enhanced observation capability of the Papilio Binoculars is made possible by a Pentax Convergent Lens Optical System Engineering (CLOSE) mechanism. The CLOSE mechanism automatically slides the left and right objective lenses toward the center when the focus is fixed at a short distance.

Pentax 8.5x21 Papilio with Case Binoculars offer aspherical lens elements, fullymulti-coated optics, and BaK4 glass prisms housed in a durable compact body. They also offer a totally unique close focusing feature, down to 1.6 feet, that make them ideal for butterfly and insect watching, as well as the observation of birds.

The Pentax “Worry Free” Warranty is available on Pentax 8.5x21 Papilio with Case Binoculars purchased in the United States, on or after March 1, 2006, from Night Galaxy Inc. 

Pentax Sport Optic products are of the highest optical and mechanical quality.  If your Pentax Binocular purchased in the USA from us requires repair, Pentax will repair or replace it to the original purchaser (even if damaged by fault). This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, theft or loss.   (Replacement may be with comparable model at Pentax's discretion if the original model is no longer available.)
