LED of Surefire M1 infrared illuminator is highly efficient compared to an incandescent light source with an infrared filter.

M1 Infrared Illuminator features optically coated tempered Lexan® lenses and Mil-Spec Type III hard-anodized finish, this SureFire flashlight also have an internal shock isolation system to cushion the lamp assembly against impact, plus double O-ring seals for redundant moisture protection.
