Nikon, the world’s leading manufacturer of sport optics products, has announced the introduction of a new line of Nikon Prostaff®™ riflescopes designed to meet the needs of big and small game hunters nationwide.

Nikon’s new Prostaff™ series of riflescopes consists of three models, a 4x32, 2-7x32, and 3-9x40.  Each model brings unique features and benefits to hunters.  All models are fully waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof, feature 1/4 MOA click adjustments and multicoated lenses. 

The 4x32 is designed for the rimfire small game and varmint hunter.  It is 11.2 inches long, and weighs 11.6 ounces.  It has a Nikoplex reticle, and is available in silver, matte black, or REALTREE® Hardwoods Green™ HD™ camouflage.  It has been parallax adjusted at 50 yards especially for rimfires, and delivers an 11-foot field of view at that distance. 

Nikon’s 2-7x32 Prostaff™ riflescope is designed for the shotgun hunter, and is available in matte black and REALTREE® Hardwoods Green™ HD™ camouflage.  It is just 11.2 inches long and weighs only 12.0 ounces.  To meet the needs of deer and turkey hunters, it is adjusted to be parallax free at 75 yards, and delivers a 33.4 foot field of view when set on 2x and a 9.5 foot field of view when set on 7x at that distance.

The Nikon Prostaff™ 3-9x40 is designed for centerfire rifle hunting of big game and varmints.  It is available in matte black, silver and Team REALTREE® camouflage.  It is 12.3 inches long and weighs 13.1 ounces, and is adjusted to be parallax free at 100 yards.  At 100 yards it has a field of view of 33.8 feet when set on 3x and 11.3 feet when set on 9x.

The Nikon Prostaff™ will be available in 2003 at gun and sporting goods stores nationwide.  The 4x32 matte will retail for $99.99, the 2-7x32 matte will retail for $129.99, and the 3-9x40 matte will retail for $149.99.  Like all Nikon scopes, the ProStaff™ series is protected by Nikon’s exclusive Full Lifetime Warranty.
